Hello.

My name is Hussein Alsabbahi and I am an electrical engineer

Since I started my elementary school, I was carious to understand how things work. In High School I focused on the scientific sections such as Math, Physics, Chemistry and get the logic behind most of the problems around me and I was one of the top graduated students

One of my curiosity is to know how technology works, I was interested to know more about devices we use and how these are designed and make people’s lives easier, I know since then Engineering is the discipline that will answer my question; therefore, I joined Henry Ford College in Dearborn Michigan for pre-Engineering, I enjoyed Math and Physics so I worked there as a Tutor for two years. Meanwhile, I had the interest to build my mind and know more about the life around me, Honors program at Henry Ford College was the key for me to obtain this interest. In this program I had the chance to know more about literature, philosophy, history, religion, anthropology, psychology, and science, all those subjects were in one class of the program called great work. In summer 2014 I conducted a research about “Understanding the Structure of the Solar Wind” with UROP program at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I used Python to investigate a special kind of wind that are coming toward the Earth with speed of 450 km/s, these data were gained from ACE and Ulysses spacecrafts.

The first step for me in my educational journey was to graduate with Honors from Henry Ford College in Fall 2015. Once I graduated, I joined the Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS. I learned most of the electrical courses that I needed to enrich my knowledge with the experience that I will use to create useful devices in the future. Once I took Digital Devices class, I was able to design a smart door locker software using Quartus II Software. Microcontroller Class as well was so helpful that I designed Street Light Control System Project using the MPLAB XIDE. Wiring the breadboard and understand how the Microcontroller works is something that I enjoy the most. My team and I in senior design class, we were able to design a device that help the owners of horses and veterinarians to detect the overall horse health, we used two main sensors, temperature and pulse rate, all these were used by microcontroller. I also learned about Feedback Control System and it’s stability. Digital signal processing was one of the classes I took as well, were I can edit and fix the signal that desired. Bagley College of Engineering also made sure that I am taking Computer Science classes, so coding would be more easily for me to create or debug as well. I enjoyed my classes in Mississippi State University, and I am ready to go to the industries and apply my knowledge.
